Lady Slipper
About
The former Massey Hotel building is a Renaissance Revival structure built in 1910 just off the Bentonville square. Lady Slipper occupies the basement and mezzanine level of the south portion of the structure and was envisioned as a speakeasy as a nod to the building’s history. A portion of the existing mezzanine level was dropped in order to create a grand main space for the bar. The primary bar, mezzanine, and basement all have different floor levels connected by new stairs and lifts. The basement level includes a full-service kitchen and an intimate cocktail bar. The main level is occupied by the primary bar, a highlight of which is the large-scale Kehinde Wiley Saint George and the Dragon (2015), part of the OZ Art collection. Outdoor seating with custom wood benches and planters provide a fun patio option.
