Historic Bank Building

About

Blue Crane was the lead developer on this adaptive reuse project that took the 1906 Benton County National Bank building and transformed it into a retail space. The former bank was a centerpiece of Bentonville’s early commerce and development, and the basement still holds the original safe and ledger to the first investors in Bentonville. Working with a team of designers, the goal was to incorporate elements that were already there, like the glass sky dome, the vault, and the large fireplace, and create ways to maneuver around them as if moving through different living areas. Interior designer Ryan Lawson, an Arkansas native, fabricated more than 20 pieces of furniture to bring into the space. All millwork was produced by workers in Bentonville.
